The Dauber or the Jack is placed in the centre of the #10 Circle on the cross at the start of each end.  It is target that players are trying get proximity to.  However the Jack can move when impacted by a thrown stock, thus radically changing the landscape of the game at any time.
If the Jack is hit out of the square it is replaced on the cross in the #10 circle.
